Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains the cookies Locible sets, what each one is for, and how to change your choice at any time.
1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small data files that are placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. Cookies are widely used by website owners in order to make their websites work, or to work more efficiently, as well as to provide reporting information.
Cookies set by the website owner (in this case, Locible) are called "first-party cookies". Cookies set by parties other than the website owner are called "third-party cookies". Third-party cookies enable third-party features or functionality to be provided on or through the website (e.g., like advertising, interactive content and analytics).
2. Types of Cookies We Use
Locible uses two kinds of cookie, and that is the whole list. We run no advertising cookies and we do not use cookies to build a profile of you or to track you across other websites.
Essential Cookies
Set by Locible and by Stripe during checkout. They sign you in, keep you signed in, protect forms against cross-site request forgery, and complete a payment. These are strictly necessary, so they are always on and consent is not required for them.
Analytics Cookies
Set by Google Analytics 4 so we can see which pages get used. They stay switched off unless you accept them, and you can switch them back off whenever you like.
3. How We Use Cookies
In plain terms, this is what they do:
- •
Sign in: Keeping you logged into your Locible dashboard, so you are not asked for your password on every page.
- •
Form security: Checking that a sign in or form submission genuinely came from you and not from another site.
- •
Payments: Letting Stripe complete your checkout securely. These cookies are set by Stripe, not by us.
- •
Analytics: Counting page views and which links get clicked, only after you have accepted analytics cookies.
4. Managing Cookies
On your first visit, a banner appears at the bottom of the page. You can accept all cookies, reject all optional cookies, or open the preferences panel and switch analytics on or off yourself. Analytics stays denied until you allow it, so nothing optional runs before you decide.
Your choice is saved in your browser's local storage, not in a cookie, which means it applies to that browser on that device. Clearing your browser data, or using a different browser, means we will ask you again. You can reopen the panel and change your answer at any time from the link below or from the footer of any page, and your browser's own settings can block or delete cookies as well.
Important Notice: Rejecting cookies does not affect your ability to use Locible. Signing in, staying signed in and paying all rely on essential cookies, which are strictly necessary to provide the service and are always allowed. Only analytics is optional, and turning it off simply means we do not measure how the site is used.
5. Third-Party Cookies
Two third parties can set cookies through Locible. Google Analytics 4 measures how the site is used, and only after you accept analytics cookies. Stripe sets cookies during checkout so your payment can be completed securely and fraud can be detected, which is why those are treated as essential. No one else sets cookies on our site, and we do not run advertising or remarketing tags.
For more on what we do with personal information generally, see our Privacy Policy.
6. Updates to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to the cookies we use or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons. Please therefore re-visit this Cookie Policy regularly to stay informed about our use of cookies and related technologies.
